Tracking Without IP

Maintaining privacy while still collecting analytics data is now easier than ever. With PriviMetrics, you can track your website’s traffic without recording visitors’ IP addresses. This ensures anonymity while providing you with essential insights.

Warning: This feature works only with GeoFexCollector.

How It Works

Instead of logging IP addresses, PriviMetrics uses a unique user hash generated from anonymous data like browser and device information. This allows you to:

  • Count page views and unique users

  • Monitor referral sources

  • Track searches and countries

…all without compromising visitor privacy.

Adding the Tracking Code

To enable tracking without recording IPs, add the following snippet before the closing </body> tag of your website:

Notes:

  • The data-not-track-ip="true" attribute ensures that IP addresses are never logged.

  • If you remove this attribute, IPs will be anonymized by default, but still partially logged for analytics.
